Bio

North American-born pianist and composer Edward Traví is most at home behind an acoustic grand piano, fully immersed in each piece he performs or creates.

He released his debut album Oath in 2015—a seven-track project inspired by personal truth, vision, and alignment. In 2016, Edward began performing his music at intimate and artistic venues like art galleries, house concerts, and dinner clubs such as The Roosevelt Library, as well as larger spaces including Brick at Blue Star and the Tobin Center. One favorite took place at The Cave Without A Name, an underground venue, on his birthday.

After performing Oath around San Antonio and nearby cities, Edward stepped away from the stage in late 2016 to focus on his craft. Over the next five years, he composed extensively, honing his craft behind the piano, scoring the short film Cost to Life (2022) and writing music for I See You, You’re Seen(2023), a theatrical production in Austin.

In 2024, Edward returned with Polished Time, a piano album exploring different expressions of love. He closed out the year with a performance at METANOIA, a fashion show in Austin, and began 2025 with the release of his latest single, “Antiquity.” A North American tour is set to follow, with European dates on the horizon.

Extended Bio

Edward’s musical path began unexpectedly. Raised by creative and supportive parents, he spent his youth in solitude, writing and creating art. At 19, his father brought home an upright piano—though no one in the family played. Initially uninterested, Edward eventually felt drawn to the instrument. One quiet night, he sat down to play and instantly connected with its sound. That night sparked a self-taught, emotional journey shaped by deep exploration and a lifelong passion.

Edward prefers to compose from memory and feeling, believing notation can limit emotional depth. His first original piece, “Rise Within,” affirmed his path. After playing it for a piano teacher, he was told, “You can’t play anything wrong if you wrote it.” That single lesson was all the encouragement he needed.

Guided by synchronicity and creative freedom, Edward continues to evolve his artistry with the belief that anything is possible—a mindset instilled in him from a young age, and one that resonates through his music.
